We consider the shoulder-in to be one of the key exercises in the training of our horses. It allows us to develop their carrying power, the reach of the hind legs as well as collection. At the same time, it is a highly effective gymnastisizing exercise. It improves shoulder freedom and helps us work toward an even connection in both reins as well as straightness.
