Level 3 | Workout 2 Torso, hips, legs

[workout_header]

This workout also focuses on your core stability, as well as strengthening and mobilising your entire posterior muscle chain from your back, hips and glutes to your thighs and calves.

A functional, strong core plays a central role in riding as well as in your everyday life and health and should definitely be rebuilt in a physiologically healthy way after pregnancy.

Frequent sitting and lack of movement (which is almost impossible to avoid, especially in the last trimester of pregnancy) lead to shortening of the muscles around the hips, buttocks and back of the thighs. It is important to strengthen and mobilise these muscle groups in order to be able to swing smoothly with the horse’s back and for a stable, calm leg position and precise aids.
