Dynamic RS Snaffle single-jointed

Conventional single-jointed bits have a manufacturing related characteristic: one part of the mouthpiece is often longer than the other which results in stronger influence on one side of the horse’s tongue. To avoid the problem of exerting uneven pressure, it is therefore recommended that single jointed bits are turned regularly. This is not the case with the ergonomic Dynamic RS bit by Sprenger.

The joint of the Dynamic RS Snaffle has been tilted forward by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid palatal pressure – the so-called nutcracker effect.

We like to use this bit on horses that are sensitive or “overly active” with their mouth. These kind of of horses can be distracted by the middle piece of a double-jointed bit and then struggle to interpret the aids correctly.

The ergonomic shape of this single-jointed bit offers more room for particularly fleshy tongues, relieves the tongue edges and ensures even pressure distribution. It enables particularly precise aids to be given and thus promotes a trusting contact.
